The two pinnacles of pilgrimage in Garhwal Himalayas, Gangotri and Yamunotri, are among most prominent pious sites included in this Journey. Dedicated to two absolutely sacred rivers of India, Ganga and Yamuna, these temples are the first two sites in the pilgrimage circuit journey of Char Dham of Uttarakhand. Gangotri and Yamunotri temple are located on the origin of their respective rivers and among the unimaginable beauty of Himalayas. Detail Itinerary :

Delhi - Mussoorie, (269 Km / 8 Hr)

Morning on arrival meet & assistance followed by a Representative & Driver and drive to Mussoorie Via Dehradun. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Dinner nad overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Kempty Fall :Located 15 km from Mussoorie, the Kempty Falls lie amidst a mass of hills. Sparkling water gushes down from a height of 4,500 ft and further segregates into five different falls (40 ft each) at this place. Originally, the British conducted tea-parties here. Thus, the colloquial name 'Camp-Tea' earned it the name 'Kempty'. The falls remain open to public from March to July.
  • Gun Hill:At a height of 2122 m, this is the second highest peak of the town. During the colonial era, a gun was placed atop the hill and fired exactly at mid-day to announce the time. Thus, the place derived its name as 'Gun Hill'. One can have stunning views of the landscape and other Himalayan Ranges from the place. A 400 m ropeway connects the Mall to this place. Walking is another alternative.

Mussoorie -Baekot (95 Kms / 04 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive to Barkot on the way visit Kempty Fall, . Later continue drive to Barkot. On arrival Barkot Check Into the Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Barkot- Yamnotri - Barkot (42 Kms Drive / 6 Kms Trek)

Morning leave for Janki Chatti via Hanuman Chatti & Fool Chatti. On arrival Janki Chatti start Trek of 06 kms for Yamunotri, On Arrive Yamunotri Holi Dip in Garam Kund, than Pooja and Darshan of Shree Yamunotri Ji, after Darshan and Pooja, afternoon start trek back to Janki Chatti on arrival Janki Chatti meet with driver and drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.

  • Hanuman Chatti : The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River.
  • Yamunotri Temple : Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again.
  • Surya Kund : There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.
  • Divya Shila : A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

Barkot - Gangotri (Drive 182 Kms / 07 Hrs)

Morning leave for Gangotri,Via Uttarkashi En-route visit Prakateshwar Cave, on arrival Gangotri, check into hotel. In the evening visit Temple, after pooja and darshan, back to hotel, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Uttarkashi : Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.
  • Gangotri Temple : The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi.
  • Submerged Shivling : Submerged in the river, this natural rock Shivling is the place where, according to mythology Lord Shiva sat when he received the Ganga in his matted lock. It is visible in winter months when water level decreases.
  • Kedar Ganga Sangam : Around 100 Yards from the Ganga Temple flows the river Kedar Ganga. Starting from the Kedar Valley, this river meets the Bhagirathi on its left bank.

Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 Km/ 4-5 Hr)

Drive to Uttarkashi via Harsil.on arrival Check in the hotel. Later visit Vishwanath Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Uttarkashi : Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.

Uttarkashi - Rishikesh (129 Kms / 5 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive back to Rishikesh, On arrival check into the hotel, later move to Parmarth Niketan, to attend the evening Aarti, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Rishikesh, the 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of " Hrishikesh " and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh.

Temples & Sight Seeing - Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram, Parmarth Ashram

  • Rishikesh : 24 Kms. from Haridwar. Located in the laps of lower Himalayas, and is surrounded by scenic beauty of the hills on three sides with Holy Ganga flowing through it. The whole place is considered to be sacred as it is believed that meditation at this place leads to attainment of salvation. There are many temples-some ancient, some new along the river Ganges. Rishikesh is important not only as pilgrimage centre closely associated with the Ramayana, but also as home for many important centers of Hindu religious thought and spirituality, and as a very great Yoga Centre. There are a great many ashrams and Yoga institutes here. Rishikesh is also the gateway and the start-off point for journeys to important religious places like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.

Morning after breakfast Visit Naina Devi Temple, Hanuman Giri Temple and evening enjoy boat ride in Nani lake. Overnight at hotel.
