On nine railway stations in Prayagraj, 100 facial recognition (FR) cameras will be installed along with 650 CCTV cameras. These facial recognition cameras are AI-powered and use artificial intelligence surveillance systems to monitor and identify potential troublemakers and any suspicious activities.

This surveillance system will cover all the routes, shelters, and platforms at all nine railway stations in Prayagraj. This major security arrangement will be completed before the Maha Kumbh starts.

Amidst all the excitement for the 2025 Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, AIIMS Raebareli announced a special health service for Kumbh 2025. AIIMS Raebareli plans to establish a temporary 10-bed ICU on the Mela premises. In addition, they will offer free OPD and diagnostic investigations for the pilgrims. To support these services, a temporary on-site laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art machines for blood and other major tests will also be set up.

The Kumbh Mela authority wrote a letter approving AIIMS Raebareli's proposal and agreed to allocate land for these facilities. Preparations are already underway, which has given the devotees a major relief. The ICU and OPD will have specialist doctors from AIIMS Raebareli itself, ensuring comprehensive medical care during the event.

Earlier, the Government's Health Ministry and Kumbh Mela Health Authority also announced contributing to health services during the 2025 Prayagraj Kumbh Mela throughout the city limits.

The health ministry allocated 125 crores in 18 health-related projects which included the upgradation of hospitals in the area, city limits, and health centres on the route leading to the mela. The Mela health authority decided to set up 43 temporary hospitals with around 380 beds for the devotees.

However, this is the first time AIIMS Raebareli is offering ICU facilities in Kumbh, it is not the first time any AIIMS has offered free services in Kumbh Mela.
